**If GVWR IS GREATER THAN 3000 lbs

In Pennsylvania, an annual state inspection is required for trailers with a GVW over 3000 lbs – There are many items checked for state inspection. These include tire tread depth, brakes, lights, hubs, breakaway kit, frame, and other body components. Additional maintenance items include greasable points on doors, cylinders, ramp gates, battery voltage, tongue jacks, roof sealant, and wood decks to name a few. In Pennsylvania, annual state inspection is not required for trailers with a GVW less than 3000 lbs – depending on how often the trailer is being used it is a good idea to check tire pressure, bearing grease, lugnuts, wiring, trailer plus, battery if applicable, and greasable points on doors, cylinders, ramp gates.
